There were no lines just a chaotic groups of people pushing each other (use a velvet rope Foxwoods!). Her show was great but the venue was not. Those arriving late were easily able to find their seats without creating too much of a distraction. I particularly liked, therefore, that the rows and seats were well marked and clearly lit. As such, there seemed to be a steady stream of people arriving to the theater after the show started or leaving early. Unlike many theaters where visitors are going specifically for the show the Grand Theater has to compete with people also are planning on dining, gambling, or shopping before or after the show.
One downside to the venue is its location at Foxwoods. There is a sense of old world opulence with luxurious carpeting, wing balconies, and detailed furnishings. We were sitting about 10 rows from the back in the upper mezzanine but were still quite happy with our view and felt that we could still enjoy the show. It is a moderately sized venue with virtually no bad seats in the house. The Grand Theater is a wonderful part of the Foxwoods casino complex and definitely worth a visit.
